These 3 treks all go the same direction and that is up up up the mountain on the moonlight track then back down into the valley below. This gives us the most amazing views along the Moke Creek Valley as you will be climbing over 200 meters above the valley basin and into the higher parts of this historical gold prospectors land. You may get to see wild mountain goats and deer while looking out for the Harrier Hawks patrolling the skies around you in their search for prey. More Fauna and Flora on offer here as these are longer rides before making your way through dozens of creeks back to the stables. Wild fruits and berries will block your path as you make your way for home. These treks are suitable for beginners over the age of 14 years old and do involve high mountain passes. The longer the trek the deeper into the Mountain Pass/Valley you go.

Take your camera as you never know what you will see and on a calm day the lake will be like a mirror reflecting the mountains that tower above it. You will be mesmerised by the beauty of this location which has been made famous by many films/commercials. Depending on the level of rider we will finish off with one of our shorter treks around the lake or through the valley and creeks as described above.

The Mountain passes were once a place where gold prospectors lived and where they would watch the valley below for anyone trying to steal their claim on the gold in the rivers. For over a 100 years they lived here as they sluiced the mountains trying to find their fortunes. Now most of these lodges have gone through harsh winters and furious winds that gust through the valley’s however a few remain and you will get to see Seffer’s Town as well as Stewarts Lodge which is now a hunting/mustering lodge deep into the station. We also have purpose built lodges here too where you can stay overnight or if you can afford it get picked up by a helicopter. This is as remote a location as you can find and unless you have a horse or a 4x4 you will be here for some time. There are woods here to explore and more lakes/creeks so you will get to see most of our 35,000 acres.

Duration* : 9 hours     Price* : $390
